The institute shares the Nirma University campus with four other institutions, namely, Management, Pharmacy, Science and Diploma Studies.

The institute received the National Award for Engineering College having Best Overall Performance for the year 2002 by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

The institute awards various scholarships to needy students on the basis of merit.

Under Graduate Level:

B.Tech is offered in the streams Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Post Graduate Level:

M.Tech is offered in the streams Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design (CASAD), Electrical Engineering, Environmental Process Design, CAD/CAM, VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Thermal Engineering and in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. MCA is also offered.

Ph D:

Doctorate programmes are available in Chemical Reactions Engineering, Process Development, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources and Management, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, VLSI, Computer Networking, Computer Architecture, Distributed Systems, Embedded Systems, Advanced Electrical Machines and Control of Power Converters and Drives.

The institute boasts of a fully equipped Gymnasium.

Classrooms provide the provision (with satellite TV) of viewing the ‘Eklavya’ educational channel for students via direct satellite telecast so that they can have access to lectures given by senior faculties from IIT-s.

The computer lab consists of 16 servers and 750 machines. Internet connectivity via a 3-mbps leased line is available.
